Multiply by 3:
18 / (x - 4) + 6 > 1
Subtract 6:
18 / (x - 4) > -5
Multiply by x - 4.

If x > 4 then:
18 > -5(x - 4)
18 > -5x + 20
-5x < -2
x > 2/5.
x > 4 prevails.

If x < 4 then:
18 < -5(x - 4)
x - 4 < -18 / 5
x < 4 - 18/5
x < 2/5
x < 2/5 prevails.
