How could any one hate Albert Pujols. He is a monster of a player, charitable, kind and professional. When he gets beaned (which happens frequently) he doesnt pull a "Lee", he may give the pitcher a look, dust himself off and blast another 450 footer his next opportunity.
Few players have represented the greatest game in the World Like Albert. Stan Musial comes to mind but the Man never had THAT kind of awsom power. (all natural btw)

The only reason I can see for hating this guy is if he kills your team, which he does to a lot so there's a good number of those fans. But I can't think of very many reasons not to like him no matter who you root for, he's had a feel-good story entering baseball, and is one of the best hitters in the game still. He's been consistent his entire career numbers wise, and now has a well-deserved World Series Ring. The media likes him, you never here other players, coaches, or interviewers say that he was disliked, and the guy is just a good all-around person, not just a baseball star.

Well obvious from the above answers no one here really knows the game. First albert isnt great and i dont hate him. Second he is way better than okay. Here is why he isnt great.......Did you watch last nights game?? He got thrown out going first to third in extra innings with the play right in front of him. The night before he dove for a ball hit right to the second baseman and knocked it down then didnt have a play, when he should have been at first receiving the throw from the second baseman not diving. Earlier in the year he tired to steal homeplate........lol Not close. He gets picked off, thrown out trying to steal (i think he is 1 for 4 or 5 in steal attempts) thrown out trying to take extra bases, runs through jose oquendo''s stop signs at third all the time. oquendo way smarter player than albert, all he has to do is listen. He rarely drives in the run from third with less than two outs. He has better percentage driving them in from second than third (no bat control) He chases pitches out of the zone all the time. He needs to learn some discipline if he wants to be great. I agree you rather have a player error on the side of hustle than laziness, but pujols is ridiculously overboard. He needs patience and discipline and maybe it will come with time. It sickens me to see him dive and take second baseman balls and the announcers act like he made a good attempt or play. When it 's just ignorance. Hope i made my point and i am not bashing albert, because i live in st. louis and like albert and very glad we got him on our team. But, i have played the game for many years and understand the game totally and the guy would be great if he had discipline.

One of the most talented ballplayers I have seen in years. He is the guy everyone wants to hate but can't because they secretly want him on their team. I know I do. He is power and control, pure and simple.

I don't hate him and I don't love him. I just like him. He's a great player. I would like him more if he played for my team, but as it stands I just like him and respect him for the player that he is.
