I've never played softball before but I'm interested in joining a recreational fast-pitch softball/club sport when I go to grad school in 2 years. I know that's a long stretch from now but I'd like to join with at least minimal skills. I'm planning on playing some slow-pitch next spring, which I guess will help but I was wondering if there are drills I can work on or videos/books I can use to help me understand/learn/gain skills on the sport.. Is it possible to learn good technique from videos?? Thanks!!!

You can increase your fielding skills by playing slow pitch. Hitting a fast pitch takes practice. Not a whole lot of rules change except being able to steal bases and bunt in fast pitch. Good luck.
