I want answers from different point of views here, so could you please tell me honestly, how can I persuade you to become active and stand up and speak out for the weaker ones; for the less fortunate; for the innocents labelled guilty!
What will it take from me, to open people's eyes and show them the other side of the world? To make them understand the suffering of some beings? To make their heart beat in the name of generosity and righteousness? How am I supposed to open this window so tightly closed nowadays by silly divisions, fanatical and narrow-minded ideas and convince people that living and loving each other is what we should be doing? How am I supposed to covince YOU to join forces to bring goodness in this world so as to cancel out all the negative things? How?
Thank you :-)

Sorry for my spelling mistakes above!
A lot of you advised me to start from myself. Thank you very much! :-) I just thought I should inform you that I am trying my best to portray the change that I want to see in the world! This year I've been able to make a campaign aginst bullying through words! And next week I'm going to start a project to show people the otherside of this world through Art; in the hope that it will sart opening people's eyes, minds and hearts! I really hope I'm doing enough and if you have more ideas please do pass them on! Thank you :-)

You are great KT.I think Mother Teresa`s words are the answer:"We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love."

Well,
May I firstly congratulate you on a magical question. By taking this time and allowing us to hear your voice - you've moved a step up the ladder! Its evident you have the passion and the will to introduce more positive change.
God bless you!
Changing the world in my opinion is an impossible task. But changing things ABOUT the world isn't. We have to prioritise and find out which problem we should be dealing with first. The problem is these days most people are so used to their everyday routines, they don't take a minute to sit back and think. Think about how fortunate they are, how they could help...
In Africa there is a whole different world - children struggling for breath, mothers watching their babies fight for survival. Tragedy! However, to most people - this message is ignored and not recognised. Its a plea for help, listen to their cries, look at their tears!
YOU don't have to convince anybody. If you want to help, try and supply people with the inspiration. Let the inspiration convince them. Find where your strengths lie - Poetry? Speeches? Story writing? Music?. Communicate with people through the power of words!
You have the ingredients to bake yourself a cake, an amazing cake. Yes, you may mess the cake up a few times...But that's where you learn from your mistakes. Did you put too much milk in? Was it too dry? Did you leave it in the oven too long?
Go out there and show the world what your made of - You were given a voice for a reason, use it! You sound like a wonderful person!

Take Care
Peace
&
Rock on!

I believe you are well intended, but understand, there is nothing more worthless than unrequested advice. I think you are approaching all this from the wrong direction.

Cold hard Truth, you believe your convictions are correct. Not everyone will. The way YOU see other people negatively, OTHERS see you negatively. Nothing changes that way.

It's a crappy little game called "judgment." You can't win.

You see closed windows. You see narrow minds. Why don't you try seeing beyond that? See people being human, for all the good and all the bad that entails. Nothing in this world has changed. Today is not worse than yesterday. Learn about history and you'll see this.

You are not in charge of the world. You have control over one person, and that's all you need.

You want to change the world? Become the change you want to see in the world. If you want fairness, be fair. If you want unconditional love, love unconditionally. If you want forgiveness, forgive.

Stop all the "us vs them" thinking. You don't have to "do" anything. You have to "be" something.

Keep it up.
Joe

When someone bangs on my front door, my reaction is make sure that door is lock before I check it out. And I am very very short to the person on the otherside. I may only give him/her a 'hello, I'm...' before I slam it shut saying I'm not interested. However, when I hear children playing outside, I call for my kids to get ready to go play outside and leave the door open. You will need to be a leader and lead people willing to follow. You can't expect everyone to fall on your side. If you do then you would have done better than God.

start with yourself first, maybe we are just waiting for someone to start it, to follow that someone and help others. maybe the narrow minded minds are actually the shy ones, who are waiting for a sign or a gesture.

changing the MINDS of the people will just bring sympathy from side, changing their HEARTS will bring realization and help from their side.
and changing the heart requires a smile, a friendly gesture, kindness and trust...if you give these to all of US, there is no way we can shy away from the responsibility of bringing goodness in the world.

take care.
:)

Through your example and the way you share the "love" that's inside you for another human being. Sometimes, it takes only a sincere smile to melt a heart made of stone.

You can carve a new window as you chip away relentlessly and persist in your vision. :-) You don't need to convince me, I am there. Although, staying in this mindset can be a challenge as we go through everyday life. There needs to be more people like you and me, that is for sure. I hope you have a great day.

"So may see life's deep crevasse" isnt correct grammar. This is a great poem, but it isnt emotionally touching. I actually learned this today, but the more emotion you add to a poem and the more irony you allow to grasp it, the deeper and more impacting the poem will be.

One at a time.
I believe in what you are say.
But the only way to open the window is to do it one at a time. And hopefully the more windows you open, the more people can start helping you open these windows. Everyone is programmed to a certain way of thinking. You have to un-program them.

Start by being an example ! Reach out to one person and they reach out to another and another and so forth and so on !!! "Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look at what they can do when they stick together."
