Report them - and they will have it automatically taken out of their paycheck.

If they are jobless, then you might be out of luck - though personally, I would get some big guys together, go kick the sh** out of him, and take anything of value that he might have to sell.

While you can file a Motion to show cause for contempt, it would be utterly foolish at this point. First, two months is not so long that the court will take judicial notice, and with the backlog of cases in Family Court, it would be most likely a few months before your case would be heard in any event.

If you cannot find the individual, your situation will be even more complex, as you will be required to serve notice on any such lawsuit or motion.

TO RAC:
Sorry, but after only two months there won't be a hearing. Unless the State's Attorney General wants to answer to the judge why he is bringing such a suit in an already crowed calendar.

And you would have to know in what county/city the offender is before you know what District Attorney has jurisdiction.

In California, the District Attorney's Office, Child Support Division, should handle this for you. They will research the missing father and take action against him. If they can't find him, then your case will linger. In Sacramento, they had a policy that closed cases that were stale for two years of more. Hopefully, that won't happen with you.

If you know where she or he is working you can have th courts garnish his or her wages. No free site that I know of.
