I have suffered through both, and I chose physical pain. That goes away after time. Emotional pain stays with you much longer and tends to dictate your future decisions through fear, worry, and the memories of that emotional pain.

Your point is compelling and I wouldn't disagree, however I would choose the emotional pain because I have had more experience working that through with good friends. The physical pain just demands drugs and I don't like their side effects.

Physical pain is so much easier to deal with then emotional.. If I had the choice I would choose physical pain over emotional pain, every time...

If the trinity was true, then they are the same God, no difference , But It is a lie, and Jehovah God, He has the capacity to feel the pain of the entire creation, if you get hurt, he feels it. The holy spirit is the reason you can live, He feels every body's pain, and the animals too! and what is more, he can cause us to forget it, he cannot forget, he is God, long after this is over, the smoke of it will rise forever, i understand, why he said that, It is in the memory of God permanently. Does it make everyone happy to know that God almighty himself Got Hurt??? God has a heart... Genesis 3:"5 Consequently Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time. 6 And Jehovah felt regrets that he had made men in the earth, and he felt hurt at his heart..." Jehovah is so perfectly powerful, the fact that only The Christ , his only begotten son, the only thing God made without anyone else's assistance, he caused his own power to flow through his son, because he loved him. That is Jehovah, a God worthy of receiving the love of us all. God got hurt more than anyone. and what is more, he knew he would, even before he created his son. Talk about long suffering!!! I love my God Jehovah, and i love his son too.and everyone else better show respect for them, cause i would kill everything and everyone including myself if i could take this pain away from MY God! But Jesus, being more like God almighty, is going to re create paradise, give every living soul a chance to live forever, and He did this for the love of God, and all his creations. he really cares, because he knows what love is, long suffering Love, gentle , kind, patient, worthy of our exclusive devotion, but if you do not agree with Jesus, he will surly destroy you.

No pain ,no gain.
But as someone would say,"No pain,no pain"
The best in Life happens after it,"the Release".
The experience of having surmounted it,Birth,Motherhood,Death, etc
Mental awareness comes usually along it,but else (passively)is just shattering the brains to a shut state.GRASP pain, and always have "the handle",if you believe pain is "the grasper" you became the object. You kill your being the Being,Self.
Your choice, killing yourself ahead mentally.Pain may kill you physically, but don't do it yourself instead mentally.
From pain, you, anyone is supposed to FEEL hurt, don't resist it.Don't try to be "stronger",don't fight it (twice exhausting).Be flexible,go through it.
My uncle went through a Communist KGB imprisioned "treatment" and though they ravaged and devastated him physically,he learnt that (in his own words)<>
It took him years to be physically recovered -though never totally. But mentally,he was still just as fresh as another one of us kids then, eager for Life (baseball, cooking, love, etc),maybe he was even better, with a more full grasp of it all.

Physical pain, like you say there are pain killers for that. The emotional pain is far worse to deal with.

Physical pain, definitely.
I could get used to that. And after a while, i probably won't even know I'm getting hurt.
I'll gain strength from it.
However, emotional pain is something that you can't get used to, or just get over.
It takes lots of time and effort.
you could end up in bad places with it.

Unfortunately, I have had to suffer from both at the same time. It wasn't pretty. One would feed off the other.
But since your question is posted as a choice, it would have to be physical pain.....which I still suffer from. :-(
