Usaly not unless she has saved them in which case just open up saved conversations. If you wish to monitor what your daughter is doing online... I advise using a family key logger. They are very cheap and very worth it. Go on to google and you can search for them. They have options allowing you to hide all evidence that they are there but once a secret combination of key are pressed ( that you set ) it opens up the window and allows you to see all the mouse movement, what keys were pressed ( includes the letters ) shows what website/window the keys were pressed ( Also messngers ), and shows what websites she has been visiting. You can only record what she typed if you wanted also. There is many options to doing this. If you wanted you could keep it non hidden and talk to her so she knows about it, but put a lock on it so she can't turn it off. Because if you don't tell her about it and you use evidence from the program, she would think you were lying to her. Hope this helped .

When files are deleted, they don't disappear straight away - the space they were stored in is just registered as blank so that new data can be written over it. If they weren't deleted that long ago, they will still be there in the space that's flagged as blank. Go to http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/download.htm and try PC Inspector File Recovery - it will scan your computer and find things that were deleted. MSN chat logs are stored in My Documents then My Received Files and then your daughters email address. MSN Plus chat logs are stored in My Documents then Chat Logs. When PC Inspector has found a load of deleted files, look for ones that are named after the 1st part of people's email addresses and end in .xml. If she uses MSN Plus, then the files will be named after people's email addresses and end in .txt so recover these.

MSN Yahoo messenger chat logs are stored in their servers and not in your computer.
You cannot get them back once deleted.
TEST : Disconnect Internet and see whether any offline messages or chat log is visible. ( same like Yahoo Mail folders/ messages. You have to be connected to Internet to access them )

Please don't spy on your daughter. I think this is disprespectful. How would you feel if she was watching you're every move on the internet. I assume you're not doing this, but someone suggested it. I disagree with this.
If you have a problem, it may be better to talk to your daughter rather than go behind her back. Thats what I would do. I think thats a better way of dealing with it.

It would probably be better to confront your daughter if you have problems with what she is talking about in chat rooms rather than trying to spy on her. Else put child restrictions on. Honestly, you'll only cause more problems in the long run if she finds out you've been trying to spy on her...Imagine how you'd feel...

Why do you need to do this? It isn't really your business. If you are worried about what your daughter is saying to people online, you should talk to her about it. Don't do this behind her back. It is underhand and a breach of trust, which any good parent knows is a truly vital element of their relationship with their child.

don't spy on her, it really WON'T help.
Speaking as a 14 year old myself, I can tell you that I would end up going to my friends houses and talking about stuff in person, if my parents were watching me on MSN.
It really is better just to ask her about her life, show an interest rather than acting like a spy, it will only make her more secretive, and less likely to talk to you.

No.
Delete is delete.
If you're that obsessed you may as well just give it to a proffessional.
But serisouly, do you really want to look into her stuff?
If she's deleted it it's for a reason, and also, if you think she's doing some bad stuff, try explain it to her, instead of going straight to the conversations.
