This coudl be your mucus plug, but it could also be just discharge as well.
When I was pregnant, I lost my mucus plug around 30 weeks or so. I went to L&D, and they explained to me this:
The 'mucus plug' is a bit misleading. All it is is discharge that has built up in the cervical opening. It is present in order to help keep the cervix closed to prevent bacteria and such from entering the uterus. It is usually lost towards the end of pregnancy due to the cervix dilating nad it slipping out. However it CAN thin out from hormones and such, and come partially out or fully out. This does NOT mean you are going into labor or that you are dilating. The mucus plug will "reform" with no issues. It is not necessary to keep the baby safe or anything. Most women typically lose part or all of their plug early on in pegnancy, but just consider it to be stringy discharge. Some dont even notice. It is more noticable when it is happening along with labor because it happens closely followed by bloody show.
so i wouldnt worry. wait and see if your doc wants to check out what is going on. dont stress too much!!!
Good luck and congrats!

I wouldn't freak out too much. (added stress isn't good for either of you). The mild pain sounds normal (could be braxton hicks), the diarreah can be normal as well with braxton hicks, and the discharge sounds normal as well.
It could be your mucos plug, but It's highly doubtful (usually that is tinged green) your discharge does get thicker and greater in consistency the further along you get.
While waiting to hear back just try to relax (read a nice long book, burn candles, listen to music, ect.)
Good luck!

Remain clam.... Women lose their plug early all the time it is nothing to worry about. I lost some of mine around 19 weeks... and my OB said no problem at all. I was told it regenerates when it is lost early. It is not like your water breaking. If you are having cramping and diarhea I would definately just go to labor & delivery at your local hospital and get a once over. That way you can at least put your mind at ease.

Usually the mucous plug looks like a nasty sinus infection. (globby, and yellowish) Just to be safe lay down and try to relax. Your belly probably hurts due to whatever is going on with your intestinal tract, but there's always the possibilty that it's more serious. Wait for your doctor, he or she will be able to give you the best advice.

sit, try to relax and wait for a call from your doctor. it doesn't sound like something bad and the discharge may be normal; but if you stress yourself out too much you may cause real problems.
Have a safe pregnancy and easy delivery.
Good luck.

Your mucus plug looks like a yellow glob of snot. I started losing mine at 28 weeks and freaked out, but my doctor told me it was fine. I didn't go inot labor until 38 weeks. I doubt this is your plug, but if it is, it's okay. The pain in your belly and diarrea is probably from some stomach issue.

My wife is 14 weeks pregnant and just told me about the white discharge. There is a name for it, but I forget what she told me. It is perfectly normal, so don't worry. You did the right thing by contacting the doctor. I'm sure he'll tell you it's nothing to worry about.

if it something you feel that is not right, don't bother waiting for a call back, just go to the ER and find out whats wrong ASAP. I'm pretty it's normal..and its not mucus plug.
