I'm Italian and I enjoy thoroughly learning about the Italian culture. But besides my own, I would enjoy learning about the cultures of India and Bangladesh. I understand you have roots in Bangladesh? That's quite fascinating. :-))))

I think that it is good for everyone to know about their own culture, but no one should be forced to learn only the "White Culture". Blacks and Native Americans were forced to learn "white history" here in America, as if no black person did anything in this country. According to the white man every race are heathen except for them, which is totally opposite to some of the things I've read about in history, true history. For some reason America has the most flawed history than any other country in the world. Look at a picture of Elijah McCoy, now and look at him in a 1970's history book, He became a lot lighter with more white features. For centuries whites have always tried to take the Black mans history. Before you know it they'll say that Dr. Martin Luther King was a white man that saved the blacks from the bad white people.
BTW (By The Way)
Columbus wasn't the first to discover America, America was already discovered by the Native Americans, but obviously whites don't acknowledged them as being people because we are taught to believe Columbus discovered America..

I agree with Marvin R. I first want to learn about my true culture before I learn about any other culture. So I want to learn about the black culture not told by the white man.

Russian culture has always pulled me close...That, and certain segments of Scandinavian groups. Those have always the two that have a certain pull for me. I'm sorry I cannot explain why.

Cuban culture. There is so much propoganda about it. You can't tell who is on the level when they give their account of it. I would rather go and learn about it first hand.

Brazilian and caribbean because they are so mixed and have so much background history that we don't learn at school. We only learn about British history at school.
