Bill as president and based upon what he knew she voted to go to war in Iraq! So can you please explain that one to me! That's how she defended her vote when she voted for it!

Well I guess she is upset because Bill didn't get to be a war President hero. Matter of fact, lot of people gave him alot of slack for how long the troops were in the Kosovo(sp). Believe I recall something about the troops being home by Xmas....What year was that?

Her husband ignored all the other transgressions, ( USS Cole, and others) but did bomb an aspirin factory and killed a night janitor. Let Osama go twice. So maybe Hillary was trying to grow a set( on paper anyhow) and show up Bill. If she didn't read the Intel report because she was too busy starting a campaign run for Pres. then she shouldn't be in the Senate anyhow.

Paul, you got me on another rant.My blood pressure dont need this.

I actually read her Senate speech regarding the Iraq War Resolution. She said, “I will take the President at his word that he will try hard to pass a UN resolution and will seek to avoid war, if at all possible,” and “A vote for it is not a vote to rush to war; it is a vote that puts awesome responsibility in the hands of our President and we say to him - use these powers wisely and as a last resort.”

That was her mistake right there. Taking Bush at his word and believing that Bush would use the powers as a last resort were errors on Hillary’s part. As the junior senator from a state that had been attacked, she was understandably willing to support the president in going after another alleged threat but she miscalculated.

Bush planned to go to war against Iraq regardless and he wanted the imprimatur of a Congressional vote. He got what he wanted.

What you don't seem to realize is the NIE is updated almost daily.

The Bush Cheney version of Iraq intelligence was vastly different than the Bush 41 or Clinton information.

Also all CIA NIE's were presented with variables and possibilities until Cheney instructed them to omit any contradictory information.

The material presented to congress for vote was a special packet with only the worse case scenario. ie Mushroom Cloud over America.

Small things like the fact that the aluminum tubes were manufactured by a agricultural irrigation Company was omitted from the report.

All the Senators got the same packet no one saw the origonal reports from the CIA.

Because Bush as well as Hillary as well as everyone else in this country were force-fed lies about Iraq from Cheney and Rumsfeld (who were ignoring the CIA reports and running their own intelligence program from the Pentagon). Cheney and Rumsfeld were involved in the Middle Eastern conflict back in Bush Sr's time, when Saddam was indeed pursuing WMDs. Somewhere along the line, Saddam gave up, but C&R (Cheney & Rumsfeld) believed that he must have taken the operations underground.
When presented with the plan, both Bush and Colin Powell were hesitant, but C&R along with some CIA agents who did not know any better claimed the information was a "slam dunk". So Bush, along with Senate and Congress, all agreed this was the best for the country. However, Bush presented the plan to Congress and Senate, and never looked back, so he should be held accountable more so than the members of Senate and Congress, along with Hillary.

People are allowed to change their minds, you know!

One thing that makes me want to vomit is your wrong statement. Typical weak minded ploy. The fact of the matter is, she did not vote on a declaration of war. She voted to give the president the authority to use force, thinking this alone would scare Saddam into capitulation. You know showing our resolve as a united Country an all. Nobody had a clue that he (Bush) could be so stupid or evil . Well except me I guess, as I saw right through him the first time I saw his beady eyes.

Remember she has concocted the lie that bush told her he was going to give inspectors a chance, she must have had bill's help thinking up that one.

You can't blame Hillary, she didn't read the intellegence reports, silly.

Of course she did not have the same intelligence that GWB did in 2003, how can you possibly claim she did?

She voted based on the Intelligence that was given to congress by the executive branch.
