It shows that he holds different standards for men and women and that he is into control. You might spend some time learning if your fiance has a more egalitarian view of women and if he will view you as an equal partner in your marriage. By the way, that particular f-word, although not as crude as the other, is offensive to me. Other words and terms are more socially acceptable, such as "expel gas", "have flatulence", etc. Some families use the term, "fluff", or some other euphemism. Like eliminating, it is a fact of life, but an action to be taken by both genders in private, if humanly possible.

I guess I'm wondering what your boyfriend (sorry, fiance) thinks??? If he agrees, then you might want to re-think the marriage- that comment is just a superficial glimpse into their world. With any hope, your fiance believes that is ridiculous and that women are humans, and sometimes, escaping gas occurs and it is normal and natural- haven't you ever heard that holding it in causes colon cancer?

I think he is a robot of society.
In nature animals do not leave the room to fart. The only reason why people are ashamed of farting is because (it stinks) and because people say its wrong. But I think that if she should leave the room, them he should have to leave the room too when farting.

well no one should fart infront of others except in front of your significant other is they can tolorate it. Its just not very polite, and besides you never know how lethal it maybe until it is too late.

I think it's ridiculous. If a man can do it, so can a woman. That father/husband sounds like a tight-assed, manipulative boon.
