Neither.

Both god and Satan are mythical beings from an outdated fairy tail. You might as well ask is Gandalf the White or Sauron is more powerful. (Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings") Both questions reference equally fantastical books that with the exception of the power given them by their "Fans" have no other bearing on reality.

Satan is a concept derived over many generations and is still evolving today. He is a character in a book. Likewise, god is a man made vice. (yes, a vice, as in weakness, debility, decrepitude or even debauchery, or depravity.) Think of god and the devil (Satan, Lucifer, etc...) as the crutch of humanity. A crutch that has prevented man from not only walking, but running, jumping and playing for as far back as history has been recorded.

The notion that there is an all powerful, supernatural entity the created all things is no less ridiculous then the idea that there are dozens if not hundreds of gods and goddesses living in a land attached to ours via a rainbow bridge or sitting on top of a great mountain. How so many people can look back at the ancient Greeks, Romans, Norsemen or other polytheistic religions and ask, "How could they believe such foolishness?" and then turn around and go to a modern church, mosque or synagogue is astonishing.

Lucifer, Satan, god, the devil, Yahweh, Allah and all their various incarnations are myths and fantasies and do not exist.

God is in charge, Its just that Satan in constantly challenging God... Also Satan is a creation of God.. And no they are not the same entity.. The Person that said that has no idea as to what they are talking about...... The bible makes it clear that Satan want to take Gods place... Also Satan was kicked out of heaven....

I feel that God does exist but sleeps and has pretty much "washed his hands" of us as if we are his great failure. The only thing left are other entities with interrest in us--mostly of the foul nature; none with any real interrest in serving our purposes that is for certain.

If these entities are Satan or are aligned with Satan is another thought. Satan, I am not sure exists at all or even strives for our attention or souls. The possibility that Satan (and the soul for that matter) is a myth made up to frighten good Christians into behaving is most likely.

Judging by the state of affairs on this planet I would say Satan is in charge because if god was I would say he would have come down and smote the whole lot of us like he did to Sodom and Gomorrah.

The Bible says satan is pretty much running things down here, but Christ has ownership, and of course, the final word.
There is a type given us in the Old Testament of this...David had been anointed King while Saul was still king.
David did not take the throne for some years, until Saul had died.
Christ emerged victorious over all, and after some time, THEN He will return and be our very present King forever.
There's more to the account, I only gave you a bit to show you how things are sometimes foreshadowed in scripture, and to answer your question.

Well God made us and helps us trough life and makes us try r best while saten trys to get us two make the wrong choses and I would say that god is in charge of good things and saten is in charge of bad things....
But I dont belive in saten so that would make god in charge and even if saten was real god would have more power and so for god is in charge ofcourse.
:D

Satan only has power because God has allowed him to have it. He has given Satan control over the earth, but God alone is the One who controls All things. He is the creator of the universe, the beginning and the end, and the savior of mankind. Nothing exists, has life, or has power outside of God's creation.
