...over at the Michael Bay/Platinum Dunes camp, they are reportedly developing a remake/reimagining of the original "Friday the 13th", with the intent of further examining the origins of Jason; amazingly enough, New Line Cinema, who now owns the 'Jason' franchise, might just be working with Paramount, who disowned the franchise after Part 8, might just be working together, to make this happen.

...in the meantime, speaking of New Line Cinema, they have reportedly expressed interest in doing a prequel to the original "Nightmare on Elm Street", to further expound on the violent beginnings of Freddy Kruger...that is, before he became the stuff that nightmares are made of. Actor Robert England, reportedly extremely booked on other projects, hasn't really given a 'yeah' or 'neah' on this...so who knows???

...unfortunately, nothing concrete has been slated, or even commenced, at this time; then again, there's always the off-again/on-again rumors of a "Freddy vs. Jason 2", or the ludicrous "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash" (...as in 'Ash', from the 'Evil Dead' flicks).

...stay tuned, for now, I guess!!!
