There's good and bad, whether people want to see it or not....
I see lots of benefits, they pay their taxes, and help jobs... they work hard and earn the right to be here as long as they pay taxes, they can't get any benefits like welfare, medical, and other government benefits like our own people that CHOOSE not to work and earn the money but rather get welfare, medical, and other free help form the government.
But they are braking the law coming in illegally, It would be best for them to apply for work permits and visas than coming in illegally and risking their lives for a new and better future and life....
Some are bad for society, they come to sell drugs, or are terrorists, and go to jail, or just bad...
so there's good and bad. There's always going to be conflict with this subject no matter what but we should try to fix this mess before it gets too crowded here...

they concern me because everywhere you turn, they are changing our country. This is America, learn to speak English, don't expect us to start putting 25 different languages on a shampoo bottle just because you are too lazy to learn English. And why in the world is it ok for you to just receive social security when you haven't put one penny in it, but I have to work my whole life just to get a tiny check that I will in no way ever be able to live on?
I know that there are alot of them that do come to our country and work hard to get what they want, and they don't expect a handout, but they seem to be few and far between.
Sorry, I'm off my soapbox now.

My employer is in a part of the country that has seen a recent influx of immigrant labor. Illegal or not, when they apply for jobs, we cannot understand what they are trying to say. Our work is in closed containers and is dangerous. An employee MUST understand instructions and our supervisors MUST have confidence that instructions will be understood and compliance will be without haste.

Illegal immigrants drive down wages for unskilled labor ensuring that the poor stay that way. Illegal immigration gives the impression that America is weak and cannot protect our own borders. It also teaches our young that if enough people commit a crime, instead of punishing the criminals we will simply do away with the law. There is no value on respecting authority.
Illegal aliens drive up medical costs as hospitals are required to provided treatment to everyone and most illegals won't pay their bills. This means their medical charges have to be covered by the other patients.
Illegal aliens drive up property taxes and lower the quality of education. Property taxes are used to pay for schools. As the number of illegal children in the schools raise, the cities are required to raise more tax revenue to pay for additional staff including extra ESL teachers, additional classroom space, and more supplies. As teachers are forced to slow down for illegals that have limited understanding of English, the other students are not allowed to reach their potential. Tax money must be spread out to pay for more students than it was intended to pay for, causing schools to resort to lower quality educational materials. The need for extra staff, with the same budget means teachers are not being paid what they are worth. The results in most of the best teachers seeking employment in private schools or in different industries all together.
Illegals, who by definition have allready shown a disdain for US law, result in larger police forces being needed. This again, causes taxes to raise.
The illegal immigration problem has caused our politician to waste time solving it rather than finding ways to improve education and the economy. This loss of time on other issues is a further waste of our tax dollars.
Now, why have I been emphasising increased taxes? Because any time taxes increase the people who take the biggest hit are the employers. I know most of you like the thought of your boss having to pay more taxes. But consider this. The two largest taxes he pays are property tax and employment taxes. Now, he cant really do anything to reduce his property tax but employement taxes are very easy to reduce. He just has to cut his payroll expense. Guess where you are on his financial statements. That's right you are payroll expense. Congratulations. Even though no illegal took your job, they just cost you your job.
You now have to take your kids out of private school. you cant afford your mortgage and have to get an appartment half the size of your home. You have to buy the cheap food because you can't afford the good stuff anymore. Your wife mangaged to keep her job so you can't get food stamps. You can still make the payment on your car but you can't afford gas to put in it. You go way in to debt and are forced in to bankruptcy.
And that is why I am for deporting illegal aliens.

My only concern is that they are breaking the law and no one (our government) seems to care about it. If I broke the law, I would have to face the consequences of my actions. Apparently there is a double standard.

They live next door to my house. They are pigs, leaving their garbage all over the street and have noisy parties into the wee hours of the morning. They are unsociable and nasty. I would move but they have lowered the real estate values and I can't sell my house for fair value.
