Kind of true.

President nominates a candidate.
Candidate needs to make it out of the Judiciary Committee with 10 votes.
Senate floor debate follows and a "Super majority" (60) ends the debate.
Then a simple majority in the Senate (51) confirms the candidate.

If the question had "Congress" instead of "house" I would let it slide...But "Senate" does not also mean "house."

Personally I would say false, being ready to argue the Senate-House dichotomy.

The answer is false According to Article II in the Constitution the President may nominate and The Senate ,not the House, must approve the nomination

Absolutely FALSE. Since when did the House of Representatives assume the "Advise and Consent" responsibility of the US Senate? I am a 62 year old man who is amazed by the number of "true" answers. Where in the world did all you come from? Or, more appropriately, where are you headed?
