My mother in law's is turned off, she's not at home and I need to contact her, what's the point of having a phone ?

Grrr, I'm annoyed!!

Yeah, my mum- Never switches her mobile on, unplugs here home phone because she hates cold-callers, and then complains that she never hears from me!!

Double Grrr!

my mum all the time she has it switched on but always leaves it at home when she goes shopping an visits people. it does my head in i keep telling her that's why its a Mobile you carry it around so if we need your help your just a phone call away and if some thing happens to her while out she can phone me or the police..

Well my husband does turn his on and tells everyone 'thats ok phone anytime my phone;s on 24/7 then doesnt answer and I've gotta listen to it going on and on and on !!!!!! This is not as bad as your mum in law but almost.

Yes, my Hubby. It's not only never turned on (the phone I mean) heehee, it's normally stuffed in one of the drawers and not even charged up. He's had it for nearly 3 years, and I've never once got hold of him on it. Mayswell just chuck it in the bin. MEN!!!!! xx

My sister and brother complain about me doing that all the time.

Well I used to. Because my old phone was a sh!tty brick.

Got no excuse now - have two of them.

My granmother who's 81 and has had a mobile for a few years now and has never turned it on as she is scared of it !!Bless her cotton socks.

My mother is famous for it !!!! I have included her on this mobile phone scheme so its free to phone one another`s mobiles but whenever i phone her mob its switched off
So i have to call her land line to tell her to put her mobile on so it still costs me money

Sometimes i think everyone i know has there phone off just at the point i need to tell them something! :-)

I always turned it off because I know no one's gonna contact me. Besides they contact me by windows live messenger.

Yes! My dad's phone is never on, and my mum's is ALWAYS right at the bottom of her handbag, so it might as well be off!
