me depends on the situation and the present company. If it is with your friends OUTSIDE and i can not stress that outside part any more then there is no need to apologies. As far as indoor fart with no ventilation I would excuse myself and offer a very sincere and heart felt apology because I myself have beaten someone for farting in such a situation. WIshing that they would have been more courteous.

LOL I have a ton of male friends so they love to fart. Their girlfriends do too! We made it a game called "You're the man." You fart then you go tag someone and say "you're the man" before they tough glass. Once they touch glass, they are exempt from being the man. The farter and the ones previously tagged cannot be tagged unless it is a new fart.
Gross but hilarious!

If i'm around my friends i just laugh and then they laugh and no one really cares.. If you're like at work say sorry and sort of laugh at yourself but not in a rude way. Don't leave things unsaid if it's obvious, cus then it's just awkward.

I excuse myself as loudly as I fart that way I’m not just “letting it fly” but not announcing what I’ve done either. I admit that sometimes I say it and people are like “what you do?” then I think I shouldn't have bothered saying anything, but it's better than waiting to see if it was a silent but deadly one.

My daddy was a legendary farter and never apologized. We were at a big fancy wedding reception one time and my mum's phrase entered family legend..."Will someone please go fan around father?" Seriously, tho, the best thing is to just back away gradually and glare at the dog or the nearest bystander. Never complain, never explain.

leave things unsaid if its in front of your family but if you are or have guests then you should apologize!

if you want to be annoying, rub it in the persons face and blow the fart smell to them. Otherwise, I would totally apologize and excuse myself all the way to the bathroom.
