Ok, now to explain what that question meant, I am 6 1/2 months pregnant, and the doctor that I have says that I am supposed to weigh a lot more than what I do now, everytime that I go to the prenatal clinic, I end up losing weight instead of gaining weight, and now the doctor says that might be a problem, but I dont take my prenatal vitamins because they make me sick, and besides I am self-conscious about my weight since people have been calling me fat the majority of my life, so what to do about this?

Honey not to be blunt, but your eating habits and stuff need to improve for you to have a healthy baby. Put all the thoughts of what everyone else says behind your back about your weight and think about your little miracle growing inside you!

Well, right now you have an excuse to be a bit bigger. It happens to the best of us. I understand where you are coming from, I am not exactly thin, but not very overweight either. You can eat healthy foods and snacks. Make sure you are getting plenty of vitamins. As far as the pre-natal vitamins go I got very sick from mine too. Then they put me on chewable prenatal vitamins and it was amazing, I didn't get sick from them at all. Sometimes it just takes a few adjustments. You can also do some small exercises while you are pregnant. Look them up on the internet. I have been in a wheelchair since January due to seizures and strokes and have been off of work for 2 years, so I have put on a few pounds. Right now I am not worried about it, I am just worried about the well being of my baby. After you heal up from the birthing process there are a ton of ways to shed those extra pounds. Take care and good luck. I hope I was able to help some. Ps- I got called that a ton when I was younger, went to work, shed the pounds fast because I worked 12 hour shifts and said screw everyone else. People are not the ones who are supposed to judge, there is only one person for that. I just wish everyone else realized that. Now that I am a bit older and graduated 7 years ago, the people who said all those nasty things when I was in school are now a bit larger than I was even at that age. What goes around comes around. Just remember that.

All I can say is that everything you do now should be for the sake of the baby. So if the doctor says you need to eat more, than eat more! You can eat all healthy foods, but especially if you're not going to take the prenatal vitamins, then you need to make sure your baby is getting the proper nutrition through you. Also, you are allowed to do some light exercising while pregnant, which you should ask your doctor about. I understand being self-conscious about weight, but man, if there's ever a time when you are utterly excused for being overweight, it's when you're pregnant, so enjoy it! You've only got 2 1/2 months to go, so definitely follow your doctor's advice for now. And after the baby is born, you can diet and excercise as much as you want. (In a healthy way, of course.)

I know what you mean I have been over weight the majority of my life and was loosing weight before I found out I was pregnant. But I have to agree with the first answerer. You need to forget about yourself and think more about your baby. You can loose the weight after the baby is born. If you can't take your prenatal vitamins take Flinstone iron chewables.Thats what my sisters doctor told her to take cause she has a hard time swallowing pills and her prenatal ones were making her sick.

I to am 6 1/2 months. I have only gained 6 lbs. My doctor showed some concern, and sent me for another ultrasound to check on everything. Everything is fine. For those thinking we are only thinking of ourselves. I personally have a high metabolism, and I work on my feet 8 hours a day. I eat all day long, but my body burns the energy faster than I can gain. My doctors says as long as everything is fine with my baby, then there is no strong concern.
From people I have talked to, Alot of people don't gain a ton of weight. Weight is not a big issue like it was 30 years ago.
My doctor told me is it normal to loose weight at first, as long as you slowly put weight back on everything will be fine.

You shouldn't worry about your weight while pregnant. If you are uncomfortable about your weight then you need to forget about it right now and worry about it after the baby is born. You can always loose the weight after the baby is born. Try taking children's vitamins...I couldn't take the prenatal vitamins either because of the nasuea, but my Dr. suggested children's vitamins. ( Maybe try the gummy ones )

you should try to take the prenatal vitamins. Those things makes me sick to my stomach but I take them everyday because I know its important. I gag and choke every single time I take it. But you shouldn't worry about your weight during pregnancy. Just eat normally like how you'd eat before.

If the dr has completed an united statesand says you're due June twenty fourth, which would be greater stable then in spite of technique you're making use of to verify your date. perchance you need to furnish us a splash greater data right here.
