Well, I'am wondering what people prefer, local pizzerias with fresh pizza, made on the spot, or places like pizza hut with frozen pizza's that just go over a conveyor belt, in 2 seconds.

Local pizzeria's. I grew up in NY and now in FL for almost 3 years and pizza is just not the same.

First of all Pizza Hut does not uses frozen Pizzas. They make thier dough fresh every morning and make each pizza to order.

To answer your question, It really depends on what mood I am in and what local pizzeria's are around. There is a local establishment very close to where I live that I just love, however 9X out of 10 I am going to choose Pizza Hut mainly for thier breadsticks. I also love the buffett.

Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of pizzerias here in Texas... mostly, we're surrounded by the Papa John's and the Mazzio's and the Domino's.

We just had a place open up near my house, though, called Papa Murphy's Take-and-Bake Pizza... It's still a chain, but the pizza is made fresh in front of you. You tell them what you want on it, they put it all together, and then they give it to you and you take it home and bake it yourself. I've actually been pretty pleased with the quality of it. And they're not skimpy with the toppings, either.

Well, let's be honest. Once in a while, we'll order from Papa John's or Pizza Hut, because we already know the taste and what to expect.
We also love to go to Pizzeria Uno, which has the deep dish Chicago pizza.

However, we prefer the local pizzarias.
You get such plaisant surprises sometimes.
Different cheeses, not as greasy, yummy tomato sauce, cooked differently!

Go local!

Absolutely local. There is this great family owned New York pizza place in this Southern metropolis where I live. The pizza is so much better than any of the chains - Pizza Hut, Pappa Johns, etc. I don't usually eat a lot of pizza (two slices at a time), but when we get the local pizza, I eat almost a whole pie!

I prefer some of our local pizza joints. But they have limits on delivery and aren't open as late as Domino's. Get the thin crust from Domino's and pick out a few really good toppings. Nothing beats the artichoke hearts, spinach, feta cheese, and caper pizza from Village Pizzeria! (Alameda, California!)

I don't have many local places near me although there is a very small Minnesota chain named Carbone's that is much better than Domino's. I have gone to a couple local pizza places in the little towns near me and I was disapointed. They're pizza was crap. A lot fo the time I get Red Baron Pizza. if you live in Boston go to Regina's in The North End

The pizza's taste so much better at local pizzerias!
Commercial places tend to be A LOT cheaper though.
I usually switch it up so every other time I'll get local than commercial.
If out-of-towners come in I definitely get local though! They all love it.

i love a good local pizzeria when i get a chance to go to one, but around here they don't last too long. when a new place opens up here in town and the it becomes successful, the rent to their building goes up, and the owners can't afford to pay it cause it's too much. so they close.

we had a place called T-rex pizza. it was the best. they closed because the city wouldn't fix their heater/ air conditioner. so T-Rex owners wouldn't pay their rent to the building until the repairs were made. the building was city owned, and yet they wouldn't fix their own building. so T-Rex closed down and moved out to Milwaukee.

so to answer your question. T-Rex Pizza was the best, but since it closed down, Domino's is the king now.

I prefer local restaurants for pizza. The food is made from scratch and usually has a better variety of toppings and other food items. Pizza hut is good for late night hungers though!
