They're paid on the 1st and 15th of every month, with the salary spread out over a year.
I also had an accountant friend of mine who worked at one point for an MLB team tell me that they'd occasionally get calls from players' financial guys questioning the amount of pay, deductions, etc. - I thought that was pretty funny.

B and C. There is a minimum wage for major league players that would not exist absent the players union. However, there is a huge skill difference between major and minor leagues.

no...baseball players get paid weekly......or bi weekly depending on how their contract is set up to pay out. They get paid for their contracts during the season only. They get a performance bonus if they make the playoffs and another bonus if it's the world series. Along with bonuses for All Star elections and individual awards like the MVP, rookie of the year, gold glove, silver slugger, batting title or cy young award.
the minimum salary for a baseball player on the MLB roster for the year is 350,000 (roughly....since I don't have the exact stat of what it is right now).
Work it out by how many weeks in the season for baseball, not how many games. (if this is a math question..than they have it wrong on how MLB pays out).
It depends on the football player's contract and how much of the money is garanteed money on wether or not he gets paid if he plays or not per game. like if a player is able to play but doesn't because the coach doesn't put him in...he still gets paid (unless he's supsended of course). If he's hurt during the game...he gets paid for that game. He may or may not depending on if he goes on IR or not get paid for the next game...depending on how his contract is structured.

Compensation arrangements are stated and agreed to by all parties within the language of individual contracts of the players.
For example: Players with guaranteed compensation may receive the bulk of their salary in lump sum checks (or check) before, during or after the season.
There is not necessarily a standard compensation system installed.

most MLB contracts are pro-rated. so that 1 MiL is assuming the player plays in a set number of games (starters, bench players, etc.)
so a starter plays in about 150 games in a year on average, so the front office makes a breakdown, however they so choose, of how many games that player should play in. lets say its set at 28 for a month . if he only plays in 23, they re-adjust the paycheck for 23 games, and factor that money out to be used at a later time (bonus etc.)
this is the way i understand it.
