No. There's a don't ask don't tell policy. When my mother found out when I was 19 that I had been on the pill for 3 years, she figured I had it covered and knew how to obtain preventative measures. When I got my period she asked, 'do you wanna talk about it?" I said "No, I learned all about it in school." I think she was glad to be let off the hook yet insulted cause I didn't want to talk about it with her. Though I was about your age when I was able to finally sleep in the the same bed with my BF (whom I was living with) at thier house.

Oh my yes, but we were poor, so my mom gave me sandwich bags, or if he was in the mood and I wasn't, she told me to smear limburger cheese around my coochie.
