I'm looking for a cellphone that would function both in Europe and in Japan. Its purpose is mainly for when going on business trips. It's a bit tedious not being able to call people when abroad, or when having to use public phones, or prepaid cell phones. I'd like to have some names of models and I'd also like to know where I can get them and how much they would cost.

Try www.overstock.com, they sell unlocked cell phones that would function in asia and europe. You just make sure they are either quad or triband. Price from USD 90 to 200

You re good.except that's broken from the enterprise,a QUAD band telephone will completely artwork everywhere on the earth,different than Korea and Japan.My judgement is in line with specification purely,not self test.

get one of those 3g phones in jp and ask them for quad-band. Try vodaphone
