how do you tell the difrence between a male and female gold gourami

the dorsal fin is longer and pointed on males and shorter and rounded on females. it is easier to tell if you have a tank full of them to make the distinction.

here are some pictures to help maybe -- blue, three spot, opaline, and gold are actually all the same fish in different colors.

The most obvious clue is the ventral fin.It's longer and pointier in the males, shorter and rounded in females.
