i do agree that fans expect too much from the players and i believe fans forget that just because they have a ticket doesnt mean they have the right to yell bad things at them or throw stuff at them
however it is a two way street.
players forget as well that fans are well....fans. we are the ones that buy tickets, merchandise, video games and food at the parks. we are a very big reason why they can complain that their 60 million dollar contract isnt enough. a little more appreciation and an autograph or three to our youth who look up to these players would be nice as well.
there are still players out there who charge for their autograph.
i miss the good ol days where players would even give their hats to a kid.
oh funny thing too we expect them to hit the ball 400ft every time....we always forget that even the best hitters only get 3 hits out of 10 at bats(.300 avg)

I think most fans have trouble accepting that, over the course of 600+ plate appearances, players are going to have hot streaks and slumps. It's just something that happens in such a large sample size, and it's rare when a player manages to go through a season without both.
I don't expect players to play with the greatest intensity every day. I know that my employees don't always give 100% every day due to various factors, and I think it's unreasonable to expect a player not to take the occasional "day off" where they're not at their best. I know they're paid on an epic scale compared to most of us, but they still have many of the same foibles.

like its been said before its a 2 way street
sure guys are allowed to slump. its part of any sport. you cant be hot all the time. mechanics need work, lots of mental pressure. its a tough thing being a pro athlete so you can sure see why guys go into slumps
but also remember that they are getting paid to hit the ball. if someone gave me a few mill to play baseball i mite piss my pants, and know in the back of my mind i need to produce. if you "slump" at your job, you get fired. the only reason these guys dont is because they are proven
yes they are human but they have standards to play up to

I agree because they got all this power inside of them and i wonder how they can dive and make a great catch and hit almost 4ooft. I mean when u look at the t.v and see the people u cant say that its reality. All people miss the days where u get auto graphs and hats and bats from players. and it seems like they have no life but baseball life because they like never get a day off from baseball.
I SAY YES!!

I have not got any concern with the gamers salaries yet some followers will continually say in any different case approximately particular gamers, however the component i ask your self appropriate to the persons who whinge a pair of baseball participant's salary, do they whinge approximately what a action picture actor like Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks or Denzel Washington make in step with action picture & in the event that they make 2 video clips a twelve months, this is greater effective than maximum baseball gamers. in case you have a concern with participant's salaries, going to the video games, procuring clothing at the same time with your group's type on it, baseball caps, etc. this is contributing to the proprietors who make the $$$, then play the gamers.

I agree, like NY and A-Rod.
But Andruw Jones is not human. He shouldn't be in a slump. He needs a tuneup or something. I sure hope he stays in Atlanta but I doubt it. He has been a fixture here for so long. I love him even in his season long drought.
