carpet cleaning question? need help fast... please?
I have a mom and pop rug cleaning service on their way over. What do I need to know? Berber rugs... they said it would take 8 hours to dry. They guaranteed that the pet stains would come out, no guarantee on the smell. Any ideas?

Thanks for your time in answering this question!

One, the pet stains might go away,But if the stain is through to the pad it might return. As for the pet spell, the carpet cleaner can you an enzyme deodorizer. the enzymes will actually eat the bacteria that causes the odor. most small carpet cleaning co. don't have this type of stuff. as for the stains, if they come back, the only permanent solution is to replace the pad under the carpet.

The smell will go out with the stains- guaranteed. Unless the source of the odor is in your furniture or doggy-bed (etc.).
Don't hover over them or micromanage what they are doing, but do keep an eye on them so that they know you are involved in the process. This will motivate them to do a through job.

The entire key to carpet work is thoroughness- all furniture moved, troubled spots repeated over and proper drying. You'll be pleased. Good luck.

It may take that long.
Run your AC with a fan on the carpet. Will decrease the time to dry.
As far as the smell, before they come over, sprinkle baking soda on it and let them clean it up with their machine.
If the smell is still there, which I doubt highly being a commercial size cleaner is being used.
Let us know if the smell is still there when it's done.
I have a few suggestions for you.
Your padding may be soaked with urine and need to replace that.
