Lexy, the betta will get along with many fish, including algae eaters. If you add add peaceful fish to the tank (not including algae eaters, you want to add more then just 2. I keep my betta with cardinals and cory cats without issues. You also want to make sure you have lots of plants in the tank (real or fake) since betta's and all the fish that go with them need them for security, and to block lines of sight across the tank.
Please be very, very careful choosing an algae eaters. Oto cats and a couple of dwarf species will fit in a 10 gallon, but almost all of the commonly available types get too big, or too aggressive for a little tank like this. Research any species before buying it.

It should not bother the algae eating fish....usually Beta's only attack fish that have large fins, such as another male beta, an angelfish, even a fancy male guppy. Hopefully you have a chinese algae eater. Good luck

The beta shouldn't bother any fish other than another male beta. That's why they were called "Siamese Fighting Fish" back in the day. Don't worry, Sucker will be safe!

The betta will not bother your algae eating fish though depending upon which algae eating fish you have it may outgrow your 10 gallon aquarium.

the Betta shouldn't bother sucker. But if you don't have algae in the tank or feeding sucker wafers the other way around might not be too far off.

You have plenty of room, just make sure there is lots of structure at the bottom, and a floating plant, betta's hang out towards the top, and wont bother another fish that doesn't LOOK like another male betta, as a rule, but every fish is different, If i am wrong, and you provide the structure, I will buy you an upside down catfish myself, i KNOW the betta will not attack that one. and if copperhead pops on and tells you anything, or posts a link, use it.

No the betta cant harm the Pleco, its skin is hard plates that most fish cant penetrate the only way fish eat them is if they're flipped on their stomach and get eaten their since its unshielded, or if they eat out their eyes.
As the fish poster said you have more danger to your betta then your pleco. The pleco is capable of attacking and ripping apart your betta if it gets to hungry :].
Btw depending what kind of pleco it is i think it needs a bigger tank than 10g.
