The Angles have to be considered one of the elite teams in MLB this year. It is amazing to me how many people don't realize how good they really are. They have both hitting and pitching and can beat you many ways. I am a Dodger fan but if you look at what they have going this year you can come to no other conclusion but to say they might be the team to beat.

I am a Red Sox fan, and I think the Red Sox have the best pitching staff and lineup in baseball. However, the Angels are also a great club, and in a 5-7 game series, they most definitely have a chance. If they can get by the Sox, they will win it all. Forget the Yankees. They are all done for this season.

Watch out for the Central Division.
Can we give the Midwest a little love pro favor?
Tigers still have power and pitching. If it wasn't for their defensive meltdown against the Redbirds, the banner would be flying in Motown. Starters led by Verlander and Bonderman. Maroth is no throw in. 5 guys who will hit 20 or more homers. Ordonez is having a MVP MONSTER year.
Cleveland has great starters led by Sabathia and Carmona. Borowski has 20 saves already. They have 5 players that will hit 20 or more homers. I love the way Sizemore plays the game.
I don't think the Yankees, Red Sox or Angels will find either of these teams easy to beat.

Dodgerblue should get best answer for putting it so well - if they make the playoffs, they have as good a shot as anyone. The best team doesn't always win in October, so the Angels need to win their division and hope for the best come playoff time.

No. I really think that team will come from the central. The yankees won't even make the playoffs. Boston lost Curt and his velocity has disappeared. I think they are toast without him. I guess they could put Pap in a starting role but don't know who would close.

No, probably not. Their offense isn't that great (Matthews is Guerreo's best protection) and Kotchman and Wilitis probably can't keep it up the entire season. Good pitching though. If they trade for another big bopper and put him on the DH, they would be tough to beat.
