I'm happy for him but this doesn't make him HOF worthy. It takes more than HRs to be worthy to me. He doesn't have the supporting stats as does Bonds. McGwire should not be elected either, same applies.

Jr., will more than likely make 600 this year barring injury. I will be happy for him. He should definitely be in the Hall. His career hurt by injury but he showed his worth early on. Just like Clemente.

I'm happy for Sosa. He's done well in his comeback despite being on a horrible rangers team. He's probably going to be close to 30 hrs...and close to 100 rbi's for the season pending he stays healthy.

Numbers wise...he's a lock for the HOF. The only thing is if he's going to be able to get in or not because of the black cloud over 90's sluggers for steriods......it makes me wonder if any of the top sluggers in the 90's will get in at least for a few years. (that's not just Bonds, McGwire and Sosa, but Palmerio, McGriff, Thomas, Griffey and the rest of them too).

Griffey will make the 600 hr mark....if he stays healthy this year. I think mid-august we will see him do it. I don't know if it will be in Cincinatti with the trade rumors around him.....but he should do it around then regardless of where he is.

I enjoyed seeing Sosa get to 600, I will leave all of the other issues surrounding him for others to take exception with his accomplishment. As for Griffey, he is a good guy who has always played the game hard and is a huge credit to the game. He is sitting on 582 and I believe, if he can stay healthy, he can do it this year. Wouldn't it be a great moment if he reached 600 on the last game of the season?

i am happy for sammy. he was so big during the HR chase with BigMac a few years back, and then he completely fell off the map. I figured he was done with baseball, but congrats to him for joining the rangers and getting his milestone. I still swear that if Griffey Jr. wasn't so injury prone we would be talking about him breaking the HR record not Scary Bonds.

I'm happy for Sammy. He was always a lot more happy go lucky than Bonds and that good attitude wins him points in my book. As for Griff, I think he can do it this year as long as he stays healthy. You have to love what he's doing at his age after all he's been through.
