Another - very innocent - question.

If you're certain that Astrology is all b*s, then why don't you have your chart read... you know, for a laugh - or maybe to prove yourself right? You won't be wasting much time on it; the Astrologer in question would... So why not do it? To prove us all wrong once and for all?

In case you hadn't noticed, I'm offering to do it... and since it's no use charging money for something I love doing anyway... Of course, the only thing I ask for in return is that I can do it completely publicly - on my end to actually show everyone who exactly is right for once and for all...

2007-06-21 05:47:16 · update #1

Well, so far only one person has taken up on the offer. I will gladly do it...

As for those who argue that they had it done and it was all sh!te... welcome to the club - so have I, with the same result, but the difference is that I could see why they were sh!te - they go by the book... so if there's anyone out there not afraid to be publicly read...

2007-06-21 05:52:04 · update #2

PS; whoever wants the offer, don't hesitate to send me a PM... since I'm always out and about in Y!A, that would make it easier to keep up.

Gaby - an astrologer once told me I should be bisexual, and I just laughed and told him he shouldn't be jumping to conclusions just because I had something in Gemini - and to round it off, I called him a narrow-minded, arrogant eejity little pr!ck and that he should stick to what he knows... and then explained to him that moon in Gemini doesn't mean bisexuality, but merely hiding your emotions.

At least I got my money's worth out of it, I made fun of a useless pr!ck and put him in his spot... but the people who practice it doesn't say anything about astrology itself. If you have a bad doctor doesn't mean the whole idea of Medicine is wrong...

2007-06-21 06:02:24 · update #4

PS; Gaby - that's what I'm trying to do here with this question; get people who would gladly do it as well as people who are reluctant - cos I know people who *believe* in it, wouldn't hesitate to prove me right even when I'm wrong... I prefer a honest opinion any day. I've done it with people I just talked to on the streets, did the opposite of what Astrologers normally do (found out someone's exact time of birth by just his date of birth and personality to go with...) and now I want to widen my horizon - get a lot of people who don't believe in it, get their charts - and maybe give me a challenge or two; I love challenges - and see whether or not it's true...

The problem is, of course, it all comes down to you to give me the correct date of birth since I can't judge whether it's right by your character, because I hardly know any of you here.

Exact date, time and place of birth (time is necessary for the moon, place and time are necessary for the rising and the accuracy of the houses, since I use a time based housing system, which still differs depending on where in the world you were born)

I had that very thing done a couple years ago. I still think it is B.S., but it was amusing none the less.

I did a couple times, it's BS. I'd like to prove how wrong it is but it's so unspecific that there's no way to prove it wrong.
And if you say that you're not like the astrologer describes you, is because you're in denial, you don't know yourself, you're like that in the end, yadda yadda.
I tried card readers and hand readers too, I can misguide them just using my face expression. If they're wrong I raise my eyebrows, if they're right I don't react. At the end, they have an image of someone that's not me. Cold reading is a nice trick, but if you're aware it can't be used against you.
I Ching is funny but useless. You can do it to have fun with your friends, it's really great the first time. It won't help you though.

Why don't you try to prove it right statistically? The population is big enough to get relevant results. Look for a correlation of one event and the astrological sign of those involved. For example: from all those victims of a robbery this week, what's the representation by sign? Same for those who caught a cold, got into a car crash, fell in love, won the lottery (to add a couple happy events...).
If you can show me correlations I'll start to believe

Let's just say that mine nailed me on the head! I let other people read it and they thought it was creepy how accurate it is! Now here is what I have to say the universe has an energy and so does every living thing and so we do have a connection to the universe and if you believe in the power that people refer to as God then how can you not be open to this because last time I checked there is zero proof of any God! There is no disputing this because you can't proof anything! As i like to say "We have found dinosaur bones from eons ago but no proof that anything in the Bible actually happened!

Because I have no need for such affirmation or disinformation.
The stars are no longer in the position they were when astrology was formulated, and with new discoveries all the time, they cannot possibly affect people in the way that astrology teaches. Having said that, people get great comfort from things such as astrology, spiritualism and religion so if people believe and it makes them happier then who am I to judge them.

OK, i emailed this lady, giving her my details, and OHH MY GOD! No lie, it was not a hit and miss job where she probably hoped she guessed right, she was ON THE SPOT! She told me exactly what my personality would be like, and features or characteristics etc! It was like she knew me for yeeaaaaarrrssss!!! I am well impressed!! Only thing, i was a bit confused with all the planets talk and how the moon is in the 3rd and aries is in the 4th or something like that! But overlooking that she was spot on! Thanks!

I've never had an accurate reading except once- and it was through a medium. Even if things came true years later, they eventually did. If you are offering, I'll take you up on it too

Well I must say I'm a bit of a skeptic but in the interest of having an open mind I'll do it! Email me if you want to and I will send you my details.

I'm a twin, my twin and I have very different personalities, different life styles and economic circumstances. Yet we were born so close together, would the stars be able to tell me why that is?
I'd be happy if you could explain it to me.

I had my chart done years ago and it's why I don't believe in it. Besides the charts are all out of date (stars and planets move you know) and we are all at least one star sign out. e.g. I'm an aries that is actually a pisces.

many people believe astrology is b.s....i dont!! astrology is an ancient science....a beautiful kind of science in my opinion. it may not always be as accurate as we want it to be but i still believe in it. people critisize astrology and many who do follow a religion....i dont believe astrology is more b.s. than religion (in my opinion)!! in any way, i would love to get my chart read!! that sounds nice! :)
