Depends on what it is. If you are drinking a little to much, or taken drugs a little to much. Maybe taken chances where you shouldn't be...maybe a friend who really cares for you will give you an ultimatum, because they don't know what else to do to help you. It is like the last straw where everything else they tried to do didn't help..They may think you just might want to straighten up to keep the only friend who did everything else to help you up until they felt that they had to give you this ultimatum.

If a so-called friend gives me an ultimatum then i know they are really not my friend because true friends know you better than doing that to you. True friends let you decide on your own and don't make you make choose between 2 people or 2 of anything!

Friends give you ultimatums when you over step the limits or do something that is extremely unacceptable to them. So you should better think clearly and get to the root of the problem. Either you or your friend is wrong on some count.

Depends. Is it an intervention, because you're high and stealing their electronics all the time? Or are they just pissed because you're happy? One is a true friend, not afraid to hurt your feelings in order to save your life, the other is a sad pathetic loser, not a friend.

Doesn't sound like they're friends at all. Friends love you warts and all. Meaning, they know all your faults and love you anyway.
