I read the da vinci code which was mind blowing it really got me interested in that genre. I have started reading a couple of books recently The gospel of Judas by Jeffery Archer and The Jesus papers by Michael Baigent. both fantastic and really make you think

I forget the name of the book but it was about things like the Baghdad Battery. Which is a battery that was found on an archelogical dig. Not very interesting till you take into account it predated the bible!

It wasn't the biggest, but the best one that pops to mind is "Perfection Salad". It's not a cookbook, it's a sociological view of women's roles in the home in the late 1800's-early 1900's, and how learning how to cook something other than gruel got them out of the house and happier and able to get jobs. It's fascinating.

The book of Tao. Ancient Chinese poetry and philosophy. The wonderful teaching of Lao Tsu. It is the antagonist of all that we hold high in our modern culture. You must read this book. IT was so deep that I read it 10 times and got something more each time!

it used to be gone with the wind....now i don't know coz theres so much good books out there.
i guess somewhere along the lines of a brave new world by huxley or ray bradbury.
but many classics are really good aswell. like the one above said, the count of monte cristo is great.
