Do I think we have the same rights? I'll let you know after I can go golfing after committing a double homicide (OJ) or get to be released from a 45 day jail sentence for DUI everyday to goto my own private gym (Paris Hilton).

In America, ANYONE can grow up to be a rich spoiled celebrity, as long as they plan ahead and are born into one of the Hollyweird family dynasties. Then they can become a celebrity regardless of talent (or lack of) and get away with anything they want, like waving a gun around in a busy intersection (martin lawrence), murdering your ex wife and her shack-in bf (OJ SImpson), or being a total dippeschitte on TV (Rosey ODonkey, Sean Penn, Ellen Degenerate, many many more). In Hollywoodstan, being a priveleged moron is an equal opportunity,,,,err,,,,, Opportunity!

We have the same rights sure. But they have those rights and more, due to their social status as celebrities.
I would have to disagree,in that these people are very hard working and they have become successful. They also bring alot of people enjoyment through entertaining us in various ways.
So given that,i don't mind if they bend the rules a bit. They deserve it.
Besides they have no privacy also when going out,and due to being rushed by fans even buying a paper at a local corner store, sometimes they need the help,to escape,i.e let them out the backdoor or whatever.
Try to see their side as well as your own.Thats fair.

Everyone should be subject to the same laws. Celebrity's seem to get away with it because they have money. I was glad when the judge sent Paris Hilton back to jail - I think he knew there would be public outrage if he didn't.

Trust me. You do not want to be a celebrity. You want the stuff that comes with it. Even though they get a lot of things, they end up looking for something bigger. They die unsatisfied. Besides, wouldn't you hate papparazzi and all that junk?

We technically have the same rights. They just have a lot of money which allows them to do things. I mean sometimes they get punished worse then normal people as an example.

nope the average person does not have the same rights as celebrity's. just look at Paris for instance she got away with so much with her DUI. if me or you got pulled over we would have been in jail that nite and got a major fine for driving under the influence and wreckless driving.

Sure we have the same rights, in fact we likely get to exercize them more because we are anonomyus and can do things "under cover". They get to do more because they have $$$$ and can afford to do things us grunts can not even think about. You may be referring more to being able to get away with more and being held accountable less, due to their
celebrity status. That isn't fair, I agree, but my mom used to always tell us that LIFE ISN'T FAIR, SO GET OVER IT.

Technically, yes-- we all have the same rights. But in reality, I'd have to say they probably get away with a lot more.

I am better off than them in that no one ever chases me down the street to take my picture.
But no one pays me money to wear their clothing designs, either.
So we do have equal rights.
