Especially since the organs of the mother are also used by the child in the womb before its organs are formed- and the same blood flows through both of them in the womb.How is this possible if they have different blood groups?

The cells of the foetus contain his father's genetic material (because the sperm of the male and the ovum from the female will bond together to form embryo). So the child will either have a same blood group with his/her father or mother

The short answer is that blood type is determined by DNA and the baby doesn't have the same DNA as the mother. So sometimes it has a different blood group.

And it ALWAYS has different blood. Though the fetus uses the mothers organs, it is always indirectly. It is more like what a baby does when it lives off a mother's milk. It would have trouble digesting other foods, so mom provides a special food.

It's similar in the womb. Initially, a fetus doesn't really have much in the way of organs and blood at all. Nutrients and waste pass back and forth through the placenta, and the fetus slowly takes over some of those jobs mom does as it can. Since some babies are born prematurely and survive, some of them are capable of getting by almost entirely without mom toward the end (though mom is almost always best!).

The fact that the baby has different DNA sometimes causes problems, too. Sometimes a mother's immune system decides that the different DNA in the placenta is something bad and attacks it. This is how we even discovered that the + and - in the blood types existed... some - moms with + babies had this problem. Unfortunate when it occurs, but these days it can be treatable if caught soon enough.

As was stated, blood does not pass freely from mother to fetus in the womb, since the mother and child do not have the same blood group, then that specific fetus inherited its blood type from the father. Not necessarily this will always be the case, the child has a chance to inherit blood type from the mother or the father.

Becuase, in fact, the same blood does NOT flow through them in the womb. It is seperated, and the oxygen one the mothers blood passes across into the fetal blood system by diffusion across a membrane - the two blood's do not mix.

So, the DNA the baby got determines its blood type, and as the two never mix, it can be different from the mothers.

The child recieves one blood type from the mother and father. Example if the mother's blood type is AB and the father is oo then the child's blood type is Ao, meaning that the child would be type A, because A is dominant and o is recessive meaning that A overpowers o giving the child type A blood, a blood type completely different from the parents.

there's a sq. diagram that helps confirm the possibilities of blood kinds. i understand i'm A-, my twin females are the two A+, this could recommend my fiance is an O, A, AB, and that i'm the two AA or AO. i understand his blood type is effective, or the ladies folk might of been damaging blood kinds. If his blood type develop into O and mine develop into AA then we had one hundred% risk that any new child we produce may well be A blood type. O O A OA OA A OA OA If he develop into AB and that i develop into AO it would appear like this A B A AA AB O OA OB Giving us 50% risk for toddlers with a sort blood, 25% with B, and 25% with AB. i do no longer understand how the RH element is set

they can have the same blood type, it depends on the genetic material from the father. the child doesn't use mother's organs, the exchange occurs through the placenta so the blood of mother and child never mix during the pregnancy

the blood type of a person depends on the gen that is located in the X or Y cromosome. so, if the father and mother have different blood type, the child may has different blood type with the mother. since the mother's blood is flowing to the baby's body, the differences in blood type can cause problems. the example is erytoblastosys fetalys, when the baby's blood is destructed because of incompatibility with the mother's blood type.
