Neither.. and the reason is it is because humans are the ones who are executing these philosophies...

Communism is a failure - look at Russia. What happened for years no one knows... The people are struggling now. China - the government is the most hypocritical. There is no communism in China. Communism creates fascism. It creates people with power who suppress the others...

Capitalism is a failure - because the rich will always get richer. They may not oppress the poor in explicit ways, but it is still exploitation of the poor. If you don't have what it takes in the capitalist nations, you cannot survive. You have to be born rich or you have to win the lotto or something equivalent to that.

The ideal thing to have is King's rule. Seriously and the King needs to be a good king. He needs to be just, kind, compassionate and be one on the side of the people. I know this will sound strange because history says when you have Kings rule then you will have wars... but don't we have wars now??? I am not talking about an evil king who is always looking to exploit people, but a good king...

However, in the present world, I would take Capitalism over Communism any day, because it gives me freedom.

Communism is a kind of disease. You can see mass sufferings in the countries with communist governments.Capitalism.on the other hand is a condition, which may or may not manifest adverse conditions.Remedial measures are available and can be applied for the ill effects of capitalism but in communist states, any such efforts would would result in execution of the source of remedial measures. To date, democratic conditions have the most cherished record in providing enabling conditions to people to work their ways towards more fulfilling lives.

communism does not allow a gap between the rich and the poor as no one is allowed to possess wealth.everything is owned and controlled by the govt.however there is not a wide range of goods to the consumers.
capitalism promotes competition and also leads to a wide range of goods on the market.but it allows the gap to widen.
i think it depends on the people living in a particular system.there is some bad and good done to each one.

The history so far shows that neither Communism nor Socialism has been able to deliver the promises that their advocates made / make: despite several decades of life under communism and socilism, most people of the countries like Russia, China, India, North Korea, Poland, East Germany, Checkoslovakia, which contain about 50% of the World population remained in poor living conditions. The experience of Russia, North Korea and China show ample evidence of how communism and socialism leaders and their party cadres oppress the common people by treating them as slaves with absolutely no right to express free opinion, no freedom to move abroad, no labor union rights. All this is fact. And we know how East Germany broke way from Communism to merge wit West Germany, how several east european countries abandonned communism/ socialism. Even after 50 /60 years of practisng socialism/ communism, China's per capita income is US$ 2,000, India's US$ 800, Russia US$ 8,000 as against per capita income in of US$ 30,000- 44,000 in New Zwealand, Australia, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
Communism and socialism ideas are born out of minds that were most reluctant to compete in the market, minds that were most jealous of other people's sucesses and riches, and most fascists in attitudes. When they implement their ideas, it is no surprise that they will deliver poverty, backeardness and living by piracy of intellectual property.
It is surprising that some people are still in the illusion that they can be better of under communism/ socialism than under capitaism. Talented, independent-minded people as well as poor unskilled workers from communist and socialist countries flock to capitalist countries in hordes - they know better why they live as seconf class citizen in capitalist countries leaving their homeland in the sunshine of communism and socialism.
