Well, I don't have a mac right now but I'll gonna buy one in a month or so... What I came up with after a long time of searching the computer industry is that Apple's got the point in macs.
Pros:
1.Every part of a mac computer is created by the same company. That ensures the perfect cooperation of its different parts.
2.Macs have the best OS, which is designed from the same company who designs the hardware. This OS is far better than Windows and causes fewer problems. In addition to that, it has enhanced security so you don't have to install an anti-virus program.
3. If, for one reason or another, you need to use windows you can install them to macs (the ones with an Intel processor) as long as you download and install boot-camp, a program designed by apple that lets you run both OS's.On windows you cannot install mac OS.
4.Statistically, windows confront many more problems than macs.
5.The design of mac computers is far better than the one of windows PCs.
6. In windows PCs, every time that a new OS is being released, your computer needs hardware update just to support it (this is what happened with vista and xp). In mac computers the new operating system is probably supported by your system without any update.
7.The new mac OS (it's called Leopard), which is gonna released in October, is better than Vista and has many more innovations.
Cons:
The only disadvantage in macs is the fact that, in many times, their OS does not support many useful programs that are available only for Windows. For me, although, the stability of the system and the enhanced security are more critical than this.

You won't be dissapointed if you had one (unless you just don't like the company that makes it-some people are biased). PCs have caught up with the Mac-for a long time Mac had an upper hand when it came to media related stuff (music, filming, graphics, etc) and I/many find it easy to use. Some people still prefer it due to those reasons.
I use to do alot of work with both, but now only play with pc ... although, I will get another Mac when I pick up on my buisness ... I'm gonna need both for testing, etc.

Yes, I have two of them. (Three, if you count the SE-30 I bought in 1989, which is still sitting in the closet...)

I have been very happy with all of them. No computer is completely trouble-free, but the Macs have all been reasonably reliable, and they run all the pro level software I need for my audio and music work.

When I started with Macs, the other main choice was DOS, not Windows, but I mainly chose the Mac to be compatible with other people in my field. It worked out well.

peace

each working equipment can catch an epidemic, in simple terms because of the fact people say Macintosh and Linux have not got any viruses does not advise there are or is in simple terms no longer any. as quickly as the two of them receive industry proportion, they are going to be the hot objective for viruses, worms, Malware and spyware. Domination != protection

My husband has BOTH at work ... and he usually does the 'work' on his Mac, but 'tests it' on the PC to be sure that whatever he does can be seen in 'both formats' ... but we have PCs at home ... but he just got a Mac to give to my hairdresser and his partner, because he says that they're 'artistic' and would like a Mac better ...
