I have a pair of cargo pants and I leaned up against a rusty railing, so now I have this orange rust stain on them. So far I have tried letting them soak in hot water, and have used shout at least 3 times, letting it sit, and then washed them again, and the stain will not budge. Anyone have an idea how to get these stains out of here?

At the grocery store, by the laundry detergent, there's a little display of yellow bottles of stain removers. There's one just for rust, and I can tell you from personal experience it works great!

Take liquid lemon or a real lemon and sprinkle a little salt on it onto the stain, let it stay 15 minutes and then wash as usual.

I was just reading this a bit ago. Pour a coca-cola into the washer with your regular detergent. It might be hard to get ou if you've soaked them in hot water. Worth a try though.

try spray and wash with resolve. let it soak on for awhile. soaking in hot water is actually worse than anything... it may be too late...
