I don't think I would ever buy a motorbike that had a bigger engine put in a frame for a smaller engine.
Looks like a) 600 cc bike abused, motor blew up b) 750 cc bike crashed, motor still works - hey, let's put that motor in this frame and see if anyone is willing to buy it...
I wonder if it's even legal to call it a "SUZUKI GSX-R750"...
For a real GSX-750, wel maintained, it would be a good price, but that's definitely not the case here.
Apart from that, recently in town I drove behind someone on a Suzuki, and at every stop he was shaking his legs, like the blood flow in his legs was blocked in some way.
Bottom line if I were you I would think three times before getting this bike, take a mechanic along to check the bike out (it's worth the $100 if you don't know anyone and you have to hire one) and make a nice long test drive on it first.

There in the ball park on price but with the poor paint I would be curious to the care of the motor as well. If you go to look at seriously offer under 3000. They know what the bike is worth and are probably trying to high ball the market. A dealership would have only offerd around 2000 for a trade which is may be why be why there selling on-line.

well the price is about right but, from looking at a 600cc and a 750cc engine on a suzuki there is not much of a way to tell the difference. things that may help is does it have a clean title, and the mileage of this bike. If it runs good I would offer them about $3100

I would offer 2,500 and go up to 3,200 only if they can show all of the paperwork regarding the engine change from the 600 to the 750 and maintenance on the engine.

That's a good price. Make sure the title is clean.
