Why do the flowers on my tomatoe plants fall off. The plant is healthy and looks great but the flowers die???

I have use 5 different brands of tomatoe and the same thing happens - most of the flowers fall off - what am I doing wrong?

If by chance your flowers aren't falling off naturally, then you could have "Blossom Drop" which occurs from temperature extremes. Fruit sets when night temperatures range between 55-75degrees. If your nights have been hotter than 75 this is probably what is causing the blossom drop. If your temps are within the temp range then you just need to be patient and see if you develop fruit. The blooms will fall off before the tomato starts forming. Just be patient a week and see if you don't have baby tomatoes where the blooms were. If this is not what is happening, you may be overwatering them or when you do water make sure you don't get the plants wet.

Like all blossoming fruit plants, the flower will fall off and the fruit grows after that. It is perfectly normal and soon you will have tomatos growing where once there was flowers.

If you fertilized your plants during the flowering process, it may cause your blooms to abort in favour of the plant growing. Once you see the flower buds form, do not fertilize with anything but a blooming and rooting type fertilizer.

It is OK that the flowers fell off, they bloom and fall off naturally - it doesn't mean anything is wrong.
You should see little tomatoes growing soon!

Once the flower is pollinated the bloom's job is done, it falls off, the ovule begins to form, wich will become the fruit.
