When I was in scouting a million years ago, we used to dust the tops of our socks with some yellow powder to keep the chiggers off. What was that powder? Can I still get it somewhere?

Sulfur is supposed to work well never tried it. We got eaten alive one trip and an old timer told us to use brewers yeast on our clothing.
