What are some of the advantages to living down south rather than in in the midwest or anywhere else?

Just wondering, because I am moving to Greensboro,NC in the fall.

"It's a lot warmer than you like"...there I fixed the prior post for you.

The South is hot and humid in the summer, and there is a "culture shock" when you move there.

If it is Dirty South, so be it!!! ( why call it Dirty South???) I am originally from the Southwest Midwest would be nice to visit as well as any other area....m
