I'm a teacher, and Mr. Holland's Opus is definitely a great teacher movie. I cry every time. It is the story of a man who becomes a music teacher by accident, has a family and many students over the years. Yes, it's a good movie.

Mr. Holland's Opus is a very good movie. Wonderful acting and direction. A great piece of art, which is moving and inspirational.

Yes, it's a good movie particularly if you were in band in junior high/high school.. Very touching and heartfelt.. I had a band teacher very much like Mr. Holland he taught both me and my now husband and was "instrumental" in us being married... It's very good rent it....

Yeah, when I was in high school band (it was a field trip) it was very "feel goodish" but really was a great movie with a positive message and a good blend of comedy and drama

It sucked. Richard Dreyfus was totally stoned during the filming.
