i just had a friend e-mail me that she didn't know how to close out an e-mail to the guy she is crushing on...in it, she invited him to a local function.
i told her to close it with "looking forward to seeing you"...and she was livid about that!

Yeah some people tend to get upset if they don't like what they are being told. The best thing to do is just give that person the advice and let them do with ith what they decide to do with it.

almost makes you wanna tell someone to shut the hell up, huh?
for instance, in my college days, there was this girl who was adopted, who wanted to send her birth father a card. I thought it was a bad idea, b/c her birth parents never inquired about her or anything. I told her if she was wanted in their lives, then the birth parents would've kept her. She got upset and I felt like such a tool...
