This is the brutal means to quit if all else fails:
1) Ruin the taste of the cigarette, to do this light the cigarette smoke 1/4 of it and put it out, let it stand for about a minute or two and light it again, smoke it now, the horrible taste will make you want to quit immediately.
2) Force yourself to burn your hand after every stogie, take the cigarette when you are done with it and turn it on your forearm, it will burn but remind you of your desire to quit.
3) Cut the pack, this means everytime you buy a new pack of cigarettes, take 3-5 cigarettes out and put them in a storage bin, increase this amount to 10-15 cigarettes for every pack you buy, eventually you will feel that you are paying $5 for a single cigarette not worth your money and then toss the bin out.
4) Share with friends, if you smoke with friends tell them all you are trying to quit, believe it or not when you tell people it gives you motivation.
5) Buy cigarette filters, about $5 to decrease the nicotine but keep the taste, these are great because when you replace the filter, you see how black it is from tar.
Good Luck,

You should for health reasons... I should for health reasons... but I have found, that I can't drink and not smoke... so, i would have to quit both at the same time... for at least a couple of months, until I was throughly satisfied with my decision to quit smoking. I read a book which was also used by Ashton Kutcher to quit smoking... "The Easy-Way to Quit Smoking" by Allen Carr. It's a good read... actually made it easy, the two times that I have quit. No withdrawal pangs or anything of that sort. It's a totally different mindset... I made my mistake by just giving in because I didn't care... but for anyone that was completely commited to quiting, would be very successful with that book.

I used to be a smoker. Believe it or not I started when i was 12 years old. But eventually I learnt that it's not healthy at all.Actually I did know that it's not healthy right from the start. That's when i promised myself I would quit smoking and I did it at the age of 14. 2 years, not easy at all. But remember, love yourself. And you can do it. Do not give it up to harmful desire. Find people who are willing to help and control you. It should be fine. It all depends on urself.
Cheers~

Yep, you should quit. If you need help in doing so, there are all sorts of products on the market that aid in process to make it a little easier on your system. It is a very difficult process and takes a lot of will power to ignore the impulse to light a cigarette, but if the desire to quit is there you can do it.
