I went from a 38J to a 38C Feb 2006 and I do not regret it one bit. Insurance covered it 100%.
I was out of work for two weeks (more if you are in a physically active job) and back into full duty after my incisions were completely closed.
I could take a shower at 24 hours post op BUT it all depends on what your surgeon says, as I've heard some women cannot shower until a WEEK later.
My scars are barely noticeable. Scarguard and mederma helped out a lot with this.
I regained nipple sensitivity around 3 months post op, though some women can take over a year to regain it.
This site helped me out tons before and after surgery:

I have a ton of information about it and am willing to answer anything you may want to know. If I don't know, that site above will know.

I would recommend it to anyone with large breasts. I am only 21 and short and I had a reduction 8 weeks ago. I went from a huge 34G to a full 34DD ( I know this is still large but it is 1.3 kilograms less of breasts and is tiny compared to what they were) I now have no back pain, look great in clothes, can jog again and get so so many compliments about my breasts as they are firm and perky.
Feel free to email me if you want more information :)

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
