ok P&S-ers i need help....?

Question

i am posting this in 2 sections but i hang out here so i am asking you first ..
heres the prob...
we had a lightning storm last night & everything went funky here & now my computer won't turn back on ... any suggestions?
i am taking it in to the tech store but i want 2 troubleshoot on my own first & see if my motherboard etc etc, is fried or not...... :-(((((

my kids computer . sheeesh lol

any help would be appreciated ty

i have tried other plug ins & i tried other power cords etc ...

*btw skeptics* we have more then one computer in the house fps lol

I highly doubt that there is anything you can do at that point. I'm almost certain that something(s) must be replaced!

Find an honest repair shop and ask what you can keep in the fried pc (if worth much) ... he may/may not suggest going with a new pc (it might cost the same as it would to repair or a tad bit more).

Oh, you poor thing. Your insurance may cover it, but I don't know how to trouble shoot something that won't turn on, unless you take it to another plug and try. I mean, all the plugs in that room could be bad, or a breaker for that room is thrown, or you could have a reset botton on that plug. Have you tried all those things yet?

hmmm.. cool comp that let's u post internet stuff but wont turn on. I think u went funky too w/the lighting storm

its' probably because too much electricity has entered your computer because of the lightning storm,there's a possibility it might be fried.
