Some say that a war with Iran would be like playing double-or-nothing with Bush's legacy.

I'm talking politically folks. We are the ones who have lives to lose...not him. He's already shown he's not too concerned with the loss of human life.

He's got nothing to lose. His views are already unpopular with the majority, but as you can see, he still remains president - unchanged, unaffected, only criticized, but no action done against him.

Therefore a war with Iran still would not affect him legally or politically.

Alan S, you are wrong. If congress got fooled before, it is actually easy to fool them again.

A war with Iran would start an overall war in the territory. We may also start WWIII. China would have to consider entering on the side of Iran. They rely on that oil too much. It would not be double or nothing to Bush's legacy. It would be lethal injection time.
I think that we need to sit back and look at the situation in Iran. Iran has a ideological enemy and a neighbor with nuclear bombs (Israel and Pakistan) plus India which is not far away. There is a major nuclear country in a war on it's border with Afghanistan. It is running out of oil and the corresponding energy and money source. The president does not have a strong following in the country with his political history. There are reasons why he wants nuclear capability and why he wants to get the country some power. We are feeding into his plans with the boycotts and saber rattling. If we left him alone, he probably would be a lot less dangerous. Certainly, if we start a war, we would be in trouble with everyone.

Bush is still the same frat boy that used his daddy's friends and money secured him a safe and comity position with the Texas Air National Guard, while the less well connected and
poor, and middle class did the dirty work in the war. He and Dick are chicken hawks that have no problem sending others off to war while they stand on the sidelines directing the mayhem

I think the Bush family has gone to far. He`s not the one fighting the people that get sent over there do all the fighting he sits on his tush thinking we are getting some place.Well this war would have never gone this far if Bush would have pulled out when he was told before the Trade Centers went down but no one wants to ask much about those issues.Who does Bush know that`s on the front lines getting shot at. Are we the people disposable by our president?

That ship has already left the port. Bush couldn't have a bbq with his remaining 'friends' on the hill. As long as we aren't attacked with ships that say "Iran" on the wings, we aren't going anywhere for a long, long time. Least of all under the banner of an unpopular president. No Republican who wants to get re-elected will support a war now with Bush as the Great Leader.

Well absolutely nothing...He has already lost all there was to lose:his dignity, the support of the American people, the support of the world...So by starting world war 3 he wouldn't lose anything..on the contrary,he will win more hatred from the world...

absolutely nothing, he'll be in Texas getting his chump change of a few hundred thousand for the rest of his life, while his action cut others' lives short.
But his family's oil investments will be gaining prior to them being cashed out, and left to him from daddy Bush.

There would be no living thing existing on earth. That is the result of a war with Iran. Do you think Bush is that loco?

I can't answer this question in terms of his legacy. I don't see how his legacy matters because millions of people would die.
