Kaz has been very Important to the success of the Rockies this season. The team is 19-12 when he is in the starting lineup. He also has 12 stolen bases and has only been caught stealing once. Kaz is in the perfect position hitting between Taveras and Holliday. He gets good pitches to hit because no one wants to walk him and have him steal second base with the RBI machine, Holliday, behind him. When Taveras gets on base, pitchers become preoccupied and lose focus on Kaz at the plate, creating more opportunities for him to get on base. I definitely think the Rockies should sign him for another year. He is an important piece of the winning equation in Colorado.

Good point, what in the world set him on fire this year 316-2-18 and 12 stolen bases. He has made himself an important part of the Colorado line-up. Good for him, everyone says he is a good teammate and a good guy.

Why not? He has the talent, i'm a mets fan and its just alot of pressure for a japanese player so loved to come into a hostile environment. The rockies should pursue him, he has helped the team quite a bit.
