I keep hearing about 1985, but what happened. THere are other questions like this but those don't really have any answers. The answer I want is one that the entire U.S. would party over. Beacause I heard of it on a questions and answers show. The question was, " Would you party like it was your birthday, or 1985." Thank you for trying to help.

I was born. Oh yeah.
Most of the nation's 21-22 year olds were born in 1985, it could just be one of those silly trends, "ha, we're old enough to drink now, we rock, we're going to party like our parents did when we didn't exist".
Also, there's a book called 1984. Apparently everyone takes it to talk about Big Brother and nanny states, but the author said he meant it to be about censorship gone amok. I've never read it (we didn't read in high school), but I imagine 1985 would imply that 1984 has passed, so Big Brother/nanny states/censorship have died down.
If I ever find the interview, I'll edit it in.

Well, In 1985 I graduated high school and met the man I would later marry. It was a big year for me.

I was born in the beginning of the year and my mom went back to college. So , I guess the party was over for my mom. It had just begun for me. LOL.
