He now sits in 5th place all time with 600 Homeruns (60 behind Willie Mays). He is 38 years old and could realistically play next season before retiring, maybe another year past that if his body holds up, and he continues to produce. So, realistically, how many homeruns do you think Sammy Sosa will end up with when his career is done with?

I have to say I think this will be his last season. I think he was just in it to break the 600 HR mark and that he'll end up with about 612 or so for his career. It'd be nice to see him play another two years and break Mays' record but I don't think he wants to.

JR. has 582 so sure i think of, he gets to 6 hundred this year; purely elect 18 greater HR in style of ninety video games; yet i in my opinion do not think of that he will hit 18 HR greater effective than Sosa this year. actual now Sosa has hit 12 HR in sixty two video games; JR has 19 in sixty seven video games. additionally the only vast ? with Griffey is can he stay healthful, he somewhat desires to be traded to an AL group and be a DH. He has constantly gave the impression to be very elegant participant, I desire he might have stayed healthful the previous few years, and then we'd have had somebody with classification approximately to interrupt Hank Aaron's checklist..

No chance to catch Mays. I think this will be his last year but even if he goes one more he doesn't have 60 homeruns left in him. He will finish somewhere between 615 and 640. Remember, wanting to play a few more years and being good enough for a team to want you are two different things. He is not the same player he was five years ago.

Sammy Sosa says he's going to try to hit 700. I think he will play until his 40s, maybe 41 or 42. He will probably get around 30 HR every year, so probably around 700. Maybe just less than Babe Ruth, we'll see if he goes for more after that. If he gets close enough to Bonds, he might keep playing. Bonds is almost 47, if Sosa plays for 9 more years, he will easily top everybody.

i think that sosa will have one more season...maybe two...so i agree with you...i'd say he'd end up with about 714....maybe in 3 years.....and if he gets that he might chase to break bonds record...oh and bonds is NOT 47..he's 42. but realistically i think this is sosa's last season...MAYBE one more season...so about 680ish.
