The pain was so bad that I screamed until it was over. I couldn't even stand.

That runs in my family when pregnant. With my daughter I woke up with a charlie horse so bad in the bottom of my foot that I limped for 3 weeks. With my son I had them in my pelvic region and upper thighs. There is nothing the doctor could do for me so you have to just ride it out and it is normal and unfortunately for me it got worse the bigger I got. One doctor told me it was because of hormones getting me ready for delivery and another told me it was because as you get bigger you are naturally less active. Either way it is horrible.
Good luck and there is no such thing as too many pillows in bed for a pregnant women.

Good luck!!

Hi! I sure feel your pain! I'm 39 weeks pregnant and have had VERY similar pain sensations. I've experienced "false" labor for 2 weeks now, with inconsistent contractions and lots of lower back and pelvic pain. What my doctor told me is that it is the baby putting pressure on these areas and moving further down which really hurts. Also, being more active, like going for a walk, can bring on these inconsistent contractions. Also the weight of the baby pulling your ligaments around your belly is going to intensify when you walk. It is so frustrating though isn't it?! My doctor also told me when you are feeling alot of pelvic pressure, there is a good chance that you are dilating. I really hope this helps. It's so hard to wait when you're so ready! Hang in there. Great to "meet" another September mommy.

I'm 21 weeks and having this same issue! I fell when I tried to get out of bed once, because it was so painful. I'm asking my Dr. about it at my next appt. It seems to be getting better but I can't sit for more than a 1/2 hour without having a limp when I get up!

The joy's of pregnancy right?

Hang in there!
